Welcome to the Woolshed

The heritage-listed Woolshed at Jondaryan is the oldest and largest operating Woolshed in the world with over 150 years of history.

Visit the Woolshed and experience the relaxed, rural atmosphere as you take a self-guided tour of the historic museum village.  Enjoy a delicious meal and authentic country hospitality at the new Woolshed Café Restaurant open Friday, Saturday and Sunday or visit the Damper Hut for an Australian-style Devonshire Tea and Ploughman’s Lunch.  Open 7 days from 8:30am to 4:30pm (Closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day).  Click here for admission prices.

We have events throughout the year including the Jackie Howe Festival of the Golden Shears in September, the New Year’s Eve Bush Dance and an Easter Family Weekend.

Whether you wish to camp, bring your caravan or stay in one of the cottages or rustic cabins, we have accommodation to suit your every need.  Visitors to the region will find the Woolshed an excellent location to serve as a ‘home base’ as they go out exploring during the day with easy access to the Bunya Mountains, Dalby, Toowoomba and Oakey.

Open daily, admission to the museum grounds is additional upon check-in.  Click here for admission prices.  Stay in either a self contained cabin or the pet friendly caravan park with fantastic facilities including great amenities, dump point, a coin operated laundromat, a bush kitchen with BBQ’s, open firepit and refrigeration.

The Woolshed at Jondaryan is a great place to hold a function whether it’s a country wedding, a conference or a birthday party!  We have a range of wedding packages available.  Guests dine in the Woolshed building itself and enjoy delicious meals prepared onsite by our International Chef.
