We have a range of activities from day visits to multiday camps to suit school children of all ages. In addition to providing museum interpreters and educational programs, we can provide meals and accommodation.

Whilst we pride ourselves on our modern approach to providing guest services, the Woolshed is at heart a heritage museum experience. Our volunteers are well acquainted with the history of each building, machine and artifact on site. Your students will enjoy learning about proud Queensland traditions such as sheep shearing and cooking in camp ovens at the only original woolshed on display in Southern Queensland.

Our interactive education sessions can include cooking, shearing and animal handling. We have curriculum designed for all age groups.

Many of our staff are trained in First Aid and all of our staff have Blue Cards.

The Woolshed has a proud tradition of educating Queensland’s youth and we look forward to continuing this with your school.
