Built in the late 1880’s, this gorgeous building just oozes grace and charm. With its wonderful wide verandahs with French doors opening from every room, inside it is dim and peaceful, cool in summer and warm in winter with its traditional oiled V.J. walls and open fireplace. The atmosphere is sublime! Here, we can seat around 60 people inside in three interconnected rooms or up to 120 using the verandahs as well (weather permitting). This is the perfect place for a function or family gathering or the smaller more intimate wedding reception. This wonderful homestead plays host to a variety of functions including fine dining nights (courtesy of our executive chef and of a quality unsurpassed anywhere on the Downs), Afternoon High Teas with the most scrumptious savouries and pastries imaginable (all hand made on site). Themed dinner night: fancy a night on the Titanic? A 50’s Rock and Roll night? A trivia night? Or what about a night of traditional movies shown next door in the Flagstone Creek Hall combined with the best supper you will ever eat?
