Built in 1859 when it was the grandest and largest woolshed in the world. ‘Our’ Woolshed is still the largest most original of any left in Australia. The Eastern wing is unrestored and is just as it was in 1859 when it all began! In fact, you can stand at the door of the Woolroom and look out to the West and see the same view as they did in 1859!

This magnificent building just oozes character and charm. With its massive timbers and trusses, we are confident in saying that there is not another that will come close to ‘our’ woolshed as a venue for just about anything. We can cater for functions and weddings for up to 1,000 people, we are fully licensed and we have accommodation in various forms to match (no need to worry about driving). You can stay in the shearers’ camp and accommodation area or we can organize bus drop offs and pickups if you would rather stay in Oakey or Toowoomba.
