The Golden Shears Experience is set to become an iconic signature event, incorporating the sheep and wool industry capturing the hub of the region.  The Golden Shears Experience will recreate life in a woolshed in the 1890s. Over 3 days people will live the lives of those pioneers and experience, a chance to live and breathe life as an Aussie and understand what it is that made our culture and grew our spirit as a nation.

Experience the steam powered woolshed in flight with 18 stands to witness a shearing competition which will become the centrepiece of world shearing competitions, competing for the prestigious Jackie Howe trophy.                                                 

See Rouse-abouting, wool classing, and the bullock teams leaving for their journey to the rail with a wool wagon piled with 50 tons of wool.

The Gala Dinner and fashion parade supported by AWI brings a night that only the Woolshed at Jondaryan can provide!

Schools showcase of an historic play enhancing the event for its tourism opportunities.  All profits going to Beyond Blue.

A fashion design competition with TAFE’s, Schools and design academies giving aspiring designers the opportunity to create garments with Australian wool to begin a career in fashion design.
