Tourist and other groups

The Jondaryan Woolshed is a popular destination for small and large groups, offering a variety of activities and facilities. Located only 40 minutes west of Toowoomba, approximately two hours from Brisbane and just under three hours from the Gold Coast, it is the largest and oldest operational Woolshed in Australia. A popular stopover for the day and overnight visits, the Woolshed offers a range of packages suitable for groups, and tour groups.

The Village Museum, includes a unique variety of historical artefacts and offers a spectacular insight into the life of our Australian pioneers and the wool industry. We offer a variety of group activities including guided tours and working demonstrations, horse and wagon rides, and damper making, as well as other engaging activities. Our animal nursery is a much loved location for group visits for a hands on experience with our young farm animals.

The Australian-owned historical museum features historic buildings, machinery, equipment and collections, many with historical links to the Jondaryan pastoral empire. At its peak in 1892, The Jondaryan Estate encompassed 300,000 acres, making it the largest free-hold station in Queensland at the time.

Whether you want to have a short visit or spend the whole day exploring all the Jondaryan Woolshed has to offer, we have a package to suit your needs with optional extra activities:
