Woolshed Easter program ticks all the family boxes

The Jondaryan Woolshed has revealed their Easter Festival program which features an impressive line-up of affordable, family-friendly activities across the long weekend.

Committed to sharing the region’s rich history, Jondaryan Woolshed General Manager, Rebecca Pope says the anticipated event program will provide families with great value for money.

“We have an ambitious program across the four-day, Easter long weekend, featuring day and evening activities. From our renovated animal nursery to traditional demonstrations, movie nights and wholesome, Aussie food, we invite families to spend Easter at the Woolshed,” said Ms Pope.

“Normal museum entry prices apply, which for locals who reside within a 100km radius this is only a gold coin per person,” said Ms Pope.

Traditional demonstrations will be on show in partnership with local experts, including blacksmithing, spinning and weaving, shearing, beekeeping, cheese making, milking, damper making and more. Family favourites such as mini train and tractor train rides will also be on offer.

“We are excited to have local support to get our dairy back in operation for this event. Families will once again be able to see the art of milking and butter making,” added Ms Pope.

An Easter egg muster is set to be a favourite with the kids, a hot cross bun and pie eating contest will test the appetite of entrants and a grand parade will showcase a collection of vintage machinery, wagons and vehicles, including a beautifully restored Model A McCormick tractor.

“There will be a variety of affordable meal options, including gluten-free across the four days. We will have barbeque, a diverse offering from our Damper Hut, breakie burgers for campers and wholesome Aussie dinners each night in the Woolshed,” said Ms Pope.

“We are proud to be offering more than just great activities and food this Easter long weekend. Families can enjoy a quintessential, Aussie experience whether they are camping overnight or just dropping by for a day visit,” said Ms Pope.

Celebrations at Jondaryan Woolshed will kick-off at 12:00pm on Friday, 19th April and conclude at 2:00pm on Monday, 22nd April 2019 at 264 Jondaryan-Evanslea Road.
