We were very impressed by this and would highly recommend it to visit if you want a great day out or if your just in the area.  It is for the whole family and children would love it.  We enjoyed the Museum first in the Bank of New South Wales. We then went outside and had a leisurely self guided walk around the Historic Village and Woolshed.  The Machinery Display's are very impressive.  There is a great Animal Nursery for children.

The Woolshed Cafe was open on the day we went and had very nice meals.  There is also Guided Tours and demonstrations.  The Clydesdale horses enjoy a pat also.  If you enjoy camping/caravaning there is a very good camp ground and there are some self contained unit's and shearers Quarters to stay in.”

“I have been here on several ocassions and it is just like stepping back in time to the 1850's when the darling downs was still becoming settled by the wealthy english pastrolists and the elite!!! and swagmen were going around from station to station looking for work!!!!

I am an avid historian and I feel like I was born in the wrong century the time when this woolshed would have been built would have been tough times on the land with floods, droughts and only horse and cart for transportation but at least they wouldnt of had the interruptions that we have in life today like the i-phone,computer, internet!!! these days life has just got too hectic and if there was to be a tech crash it would be the end of the world for some people!!!!”

Great place to camp or stay in the cabins offered. It was like taking a trip back through history with lots of things to explore. Great camp kitchen and hot showers in the amenity block were a welcome relief from a hot day of exploring!!!
